Altered BM: Any sudden but persistent change in bowel habit should be evaluated. If you have had a significant change in your diet or exercise routine, that might be the cause...Or if you have recently started or stopped a medication or supplement. Recent respiratory or other illness could contribute as well. See your doctor to check for anatomical concerns.

Bowel changes: intermittent changes in bowel patterns are not unusual. As long as they are not persistent, not associated with pain or weight loss, and there is no blood in the stool, then the Best bet is to give it some time to return to normal. In the meantime, I would increase the amount of fiber in your diet. If the stool changes persist for another few weeks, then I would see your doctor. Good luck!
