Sex increases HR: While tachycardia (increased heart rate) is not a common side effect with Levitra (vardenafil), (vardenafil) it is reported. Someone's pulse going up to 113 BPM during sex is not unusual, whether he is on Levitra (vardenafil) or not. Staying up for an hour is notable. I would, if feasible, have sex without Levitra (vardenafil) and see if the same heart rate response occurs. Then, armed with this information, pay your doctor a visit to discuss.

Possible side effect: Rapid heart beat is not a common side effect of vardenafil. However it has been reported in up to 2% of patients reporting side effects. A pulse of 113 BPM during sex is not unusual but the fact that it lasted for one hour may be due to the Levitra or might possibly indicate an underlying heart problem. If you notice other strenuous activities causing similar symptoms see your physician.
