Have no clue: This is a description that it is too little to make an opinion via the net. A good photo would help. Try to elevate the leg and if the bump disappears than most probably is a vein that emptied its blood content by gravity (elevation). If not, than it is not a vein that should be checked by an md.

A number of things: A agree with dr. Goren. Without more information (a picture would be nice too), it is really impossible to say. Dr. Goren's point about raising your feet is a very good tip. Regardless, the best thing to do is to go see you doctor and ask him or her.
