Biting tongue: Often times we don't , tongue is very vascular and it heals fast , take him to his doctor have him look at it , if he needs any medical attentions.

Yes: Yes, stitches can be put on the tongue if the laceration is big enough. If it is small, it will heal on its own. Take your son to the doctor asap to see if he needs it sutured.
