State a question: Please state a clear question, we would love to help! a cut tongue can be very bothersome but the good news is that the oral cavity heals fast! some over the counter pain medications may help to alleviate general pain if the cut is bad. For sharp pain or discomfort when eating/drinking, you can try purchasing some topical anesthetic, like orajel, which may help for a few minutes.

Biting tongue: It happens more often than you think, rapid healing due to rich blood supply, would recommend mouth rinses like chlorhixidine or warm salt water.

Depends : Whether or not your son's tongue laceration needs treatment may depend on the extent and depth of the defect. Many superficial lacerations will heal with no treatment. If the laceration is deeper into the muscle layers and likely bleeding profusely, your son should be seen to control te bleeding and to determine what treatment may be indicated.
