Many: Citalopram is one of the SSRI class of medications. There are several medications in this class. Each of them has its differences. Without knowing what your history and symptoms are alternatives cannot be suggested. Consult a physician in Japan and seek their counsel.

Celexa (citalopram) in Japan: It is not available there, but the isomer Lexapro (escitalopram) might be, so ask a doctor for that formulation as replcement.
