Fluids, Fiber: Sounds like you've got hard stools, which can be painful. I suggest 1-2 tablespoons full of psyllium husks (Metamucil, Konsyl) in a glass of water. Drink it fast, as it will turn to sludge in your glass, otherwise. Follow with another glass of water. We should consume enough fiber to have an easy bowel movement at least once/day. If you need some stimulation, try magnesium--500-1,000 mg/day.
