Possible allergy: Sounds like you may have an allergy to Ibuprofen. You may want to try other alternative NSAIDS like Naproxen (Aleve) or Aspirin for your pain and swelling needs. If this persists with the others meds then you may want to see an allergist for consultation. Good Luck.
