Bmi: Please go online to BMI and quickly see how your daughter is doing. Also have the pediatrician share your daughter's height and weight growth curves. Take a copy home with you.

Get up and move: Your daughter's BMI = 28.6 which puts her into the obese category. Weight loss should be addressed by both diet and exercise. Diet - healthy food choices, appropriate portions, cut out the sodas, sugary juices etc. Increase activity. Turn off the TV/Computer/Tablet…whatever and get out and move. 30 minutes (consistent) of increased activity 3x per week MINIMUM- go for a good walk, ride a bike.
