Your own quit kit: Clear out all the cigarettes, matches, lighters and ash trays from your home and car. Make a quit kit with items that will distract you from thinking about smoking. Gum, mints or fresh vegetables for your mouth; worry beads, paper clips or a pen for your hands; try to stay away from other smokers; brush your teeth right after eating; have someone to call if you don't think you can resist a smoke.

Smoking: You as well as i could look for this answer on the internet but i guess you're asking if i personally, as a physician, have found anything useful that is alternative. The broad answer is no. With the exception of acupuncture which I have had a little personal experience with. Good luck oh yes support groups and personal contracts.
