Sometimes....: Sometimes, chest discomfort is the symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD. So it is possible that chest discomfort is due to GERD without the other symptoms you listed. A GI doctor, or gastroenterologist, can makes this diagnosis and offer treatment so see a GI doctor for an evaluation.
