1st trimester bled: Dark blood or brown blood is not active bleeding but old bleeding. Could be coming from anywhere, your cervix, the pregnancy, an infection. Are you cramping? At present, make an appointment for your prenatal visit. In the mean time pelvic rest, nothing in the vagina.
