Illegal + Dangerous: Buying a kidney on the black market in another country sounds easy + appealing but is actually very dangerous. It is illegal in all of those countries too. No actual US law applies, but it would also prevent Medicare from paying for the anti-rejection medications. People who return to the US with purchased kidneys have high risks of infections, rejection and organ loss. It is not worth the risks.
