Yes, get evaluation: Yes. Any acute symptoms in your leg varicose veins should prompt some concern. This could indicate phlebitis, blood clot, or just inflammatory irritation of the diseased veins. Since varicose veins can lead to significant complications such as blood clots, would recommend that you see a vascular surgeon & get an ultrasound of your leg veins. They can offer you treatment if indicated.

Burning veins.: Burning can be a symptom of varicose veins but it is not one of the more common vein symptoms. Burning is often times due to nerve irritation. You should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation and a venous ultrasound.
