What do flat t waves on ecg mean?

Nonspecific: There are many causes of flat t waves, the most serious of which is ischemia (impaired blood supply to heart muscle). However, it can also be caused by electrolyte disorders, certain medications, hypertension, and other conditions. Be sure to discuss with your physician.

Ecg: Flattened t waves are what we call nonspecific findings. Lots of things can cause them. If the patient is doing fine, we don't place much weight on the finding, if the patient is having symptoms, we pay lots more attention to it.
