A member asked:

Should i be concerned about elevated ca-125 of 132 if i have a history of benign cysts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CA-125: This marker is quite non-specific for cancer, particularly in pre-menopausal women. Any things that irritate the lining of the abdomen (such as cysts, endometriosis, and non-ovarian things as well) can prompt elevations in the range you have noted. Other means of screening for cancer however are also imperfect. If you are at high risk, other follow-up may be needed.
