Atrial fibrillation: Atrial fibrillation and depression are both common phenomena so there are many people with both. They are not necessarily related and because both are common, hard to prove relationship.

Yes: There is a close tie in with heart disease and depression. What you need to be aware of is that one of the medications used to treat a fib, beta blockers such as metoprolol, can worsen depression so talk to your doctor.
