Is the duodenum acidic or basic?

Acid.: The pH of the duodenum varies depending on how far away you are from the stomach. Closer to the stomach it is more acidic, and it becomes less as you get farther away in the duodenum. It still ends up with a pH of about 6, which is still acidic. Hope that helps.
