A member asked:

What health problems or injuries typically affect baseball pitchers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Muscle strain: Pitchers put a great strain on the shoulder and elbow and wrist joints and these are frequently strained and injured. Pitchers usually have an elaborate routine to protect these and much physical therapy to maintain them. The only other thing that happens to them is the rare times they might get directly struck with a baseball that is batted or thrown or a broken bat
