Dr. Johanna Fricke answered

Specializes in Pediatrics - Developmental and Behavioral

Coordination of the : eyes & hands requires intact circuits in the brain to process visual & proproceptive sensory input & normal ability to produce movement of eyes, hands arms & upper trunk. Proprioception =the brain's ability to process stimuli to maintain equilibrium & position & to produce normal fine- motor motions. Disruption at any site along the complex circuits impairs fine-motor functions.
