Visual-Motor : Integration requires requires intact vision & proprioception, sensory feedback from muscles & joints. The brain has to process & link sensory inputs, plan fine motor & gross motor acts, & send signals to the junctions of nerves & muscles to act. Muscles must have normal tone & strength to respond to signals correctly. Occupational & physical therapists test VMI to help define areas of deficits.
