Hard to say: All depends on your goal and determining factors for what is "good". Skating is an excellent exercise and helps develop and maintain muscles, flexibility, cardiovascular health, coordination, joints, etc.I would think they are quite comparable, though I haven't seen studies on skating. I suspect skating might deliver less impact than running.Also, depends on how hard,long, and athletic your skate.
