Gastritis: You probably have gastritis or inflammation in the stomach. You have not elaborated on your problem but you could also have a peptic ulcer. In either case you should see your family physician who will do the necessary investigations and recommend treatment.

Sounds like excess: Acid in stomach, which caused inflammation, or gastritis. Try otc Prilosec or Prevacid (lansoprazole) as directed, take before bedtime and see what happens. If it persists, it could be ulcer or gallbladder problem, so you should get it checked out.
