Could long-term cortisone-use cause adrenal exhaustion?

Exhaustion: The simple answer is yes. Why have you been taking cortisone long-term? Were you ill at the beginning and feel much better over time? The adrenal is probably not working well enough such that you must continue with cortisone. If you have not seen an endocrinologist about this you should do so sometime soon.
