A member asked:

Does a male of 35 yo still need to take cortisone for congenital adrenal hyperplasia since age 5 yo?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe not : You need to see an adult endocrinologist. After 30 years of steroid hormone suppression it is no easy task to be weaned. However, weaning is dependent upon the type of cah you have and the likelihood that you may or may not develop adrenal rest tumors. Genetic testing may help here also.
