Meds or not.: 1. Take a history 2. Do a good physical exam. 3. Maybe order lab tests based on 1 and 2. 4. Make a diagnosis of what is making you ill. 5. Review if this can be helped by diet-such as high blood pressure. Ask you if you can follow a diet. 6. Review the evidence that taking a pill for what you have is healthier than not taking a pill if diet does not work. 7. Discuss if you want to take pills.
