A member asked:

How long can an eldery man live if he is blind, diabetic, has kidney failure and has shingles?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Elderly: 50 is not old by any means. How long have you been blind? How long have you had diabetes? How bad is your kidney failure? These are all important and I do emphasize with your concerns. You need to keep up with your nephrologist - they are great - and some counselling might be helpful. I have cared for patients with blindness and others who are deaf. It is a joy to see how they are coping.
