A member asked:

What is the near point and far point of your eyes? what do these terms mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not specific terms: There are several near and far points. There is the near point of convergence- how close to the eye an object can be seen and not be double. Then there is a near point of accomodation- how close to the eye an object can be seen clearly. Far point refers to the furthest an eye can see clearly ( in a nearsighted eye- not very far).
