A member asked:

Hypertension and blindness in lateral visual fields of both eyes. the lab found elevated blood glucose and high gl. what does this mean in layman's terms?

Possible diabetes: High blood sugars (depending on the timing of when you last ate and how high the value was) most often indicate a pre-diabetic condition or diabetes. You should have yourself evaluated right away, particularly since you have eye disease. It may not be related to diabetes, but patients wtih diabetes are prone to different eye diseases. Feel better!
