A member asked:

Which active immunity is the result of receiving vaccinations with active or attenuated organisms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: Active immunity is any immunity your body develops on its own to whatever agent is used.(active or attenuated)It generally lasts for a long time.Passive immunity is what happens when you get a gamma globulin shot, that lasts for weeks to a few months before disappearing.
