They can: All medications have a pregnancy rating and many should not be taken during pregnancy. Check with OB before taking any medications ( even over the counter or herbal products when you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant.

If any medications are prescribed, close monitoring is a must, as well as thorough discussions of beneficial as well as possible risks, along with review of risks of coming off of the medications when plan pregnancy.
