A member asked:

I know a lot of core exercises can cause a disc herniation but can the front plank cause one? and does the plank work the bottom stomach muscles?

No: properly done core exercises should not cause a disk herniation unless there was already a weakness or problem with the disc. Your front plank exercises will help your abdominals including the lower section of the abdominals. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck
