HPV 16: White, non-smoking males age 35 to 55 are 4 to 1 over females to develop oral/oropharyngeal cancer due primarily to HPV 16 infection. Cannot find overall risk frequency for males with HPV 16 to develop cancer. It takes about 15 years after being infected to develop such cancers.
