Very high: Even if you don't have any signs of an outbreak, it is possible to transmit the virus. Please use protection and avoid any sexual contact during an outbreak. Consider taking anti-viral agents (by prescription) to prevent recurrences.

Must be carefull: First recognize and be honest with partners. To really protect them, use condom. Too shorten your course, need to take antiviral ie Acyclovir or valcyclovir. Most important is to recognize when you are getting a flair and act accordingly. For oral lesions, refrain from any oral sex or kissing. Virus can shed even before you realize you have outbreak. Advise talking to std clinic for help.
