Are you pregnant?: You need to make sure you are not pregnant. I assume that you took a pregnancy test. If that is negative, then you may need to have an exam by your doctor to make sure you do not have an infection and have diagnostic testing (ultrasound) to make sure your uterus/ovaries and fallopian tubes are ok. If all is ok, your doctor may need to put you on birth contol to regulate your menstrual periods.

YES: Your menstrual period is hormone related. First we need to make sure the reason you did not have a period is unrelated to pregnancy if you are sexually active. Then you should have your doctor evaluate you for causes of dysfunctional uterine bleeding usually caused by hormonal and or structural problems. Don't let this go on for long to prevent dangerously low blood count.
