A member asked:

My toe hurts like that stinging pain but it's not on the toe itself. it's more on the base of the big toe, and moving it upward stings.

Base toe pain: Base toe pain can occur due to a nerve impingement. Nerves can be injured by some type of trauma, from an accident, from tight shoes or even an insect bite. Did you hurt your toe? Do you have lower back pain? Did you twist your ankle? Did you banged your toe against something? You should go see a Podiatrist or a Neurologist to check out your symptoms.
