Ibuprofen: Generally speaking 800mg of ibuprofen is a maximal single dose which can be taken up to three times in a day. However use caution given the spreading bruise which suggests bleeding, as ibuprofen and other NSAIDS can lead to easy bleeding and perhaps worsen the situation.
