Hello, my last period was on december 21 st. im on birth controll (needle one), and my period is late and i just have a brown substance instead.

See below: If you are on BC pills and period is late and you just have a brown discharge it's not likely due to pregnancy as the pills are fairly effective. Just to be on the safe side check a home pregnancy test about 1 week after your period was due. Brown discharge can be due to implantation bleeding. BC pills can alter your cycle and may cause brown discharge. See Gyn if continue to have abnormal period

Brown Discharge: might actually be the start of your period. Brown d/c is usually older blood being cleaned from the uterus. If it isn't clear if this is your period - would take a pregnancy test. Take care.
