I am experiencing skin pain on my right flank that hurts even when my shirt touches it. i do not have a rash that i can see. what's the cause?

Early shingles??: Not certain, but it does sound like local nerve irritation, especially because of the super-sensitivity. If a rash breaks out from here, see MD right away, I would be concerned you might be immune-suppressed. Of course other ailments could cause, and be very benign. Also, if it is shingles, earlier the treatment, the better. This is always perplexing. Get well. Happy New Year.
