Hives: Fleeting hives may have been a reaction to the virus which caused the head cold or could have been an allergic reaction to something else like medication or certain food. If repeated hives occur antihistamines like benadryl (diphenhydramine) (causes drowsiness) or Claritin help. Consult your physician or an allergist if hives don't resolve.
