A member asked:

3week baby poop yelow seedy mucusy after every feed, breastfeeding her 1st n then formula feeding her post it as breastmilk not sufficient, sugest if ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infant stools: Yellow, seedy, nonbloody stools are normal in a formula fed infant. Changing from breast to formula, or changing from one formula to another can cause changes in stool frequency and appearance. Sudden changes in stools, if associated with irritability, bloody stools, vomiting, lethargy or any other symptom of illness should be evaluated prompty.
