Imaging: The next step would be to see a gynecologist and get some imaging done to see how big this fibroid is and where it's located. Big fibroids can be very painful and you might find it best at 31 years of age, to have it removed. It's possible to remove and preserve fertility, if that's a concern for you. Unlikely, if it's big, to go away on its own though. Try ibuprofen and make appt for gyne
