Depends: When do you think you got exposed to HIV? Antibody tests, may some times many months to turn positive, rarely, up to a year. It would be useful to get a fourth generation test, and even better to get tested for HIV nucleic acid. If you potential exposure to HIV was more than a year ago, you are likely to be safe.
