Almost immediately: An esophageal perf. with endoscopy is a serious and almost immediate condition. Severe pain , tachycardia, fever - this is a bad event. A bit of sore throat is not uncommon after EGD, but if you have real concerns you should put a call in to your GI team now. Good luck
