What is the best test to check if i have torn chest muscles after an asthma that left me with severe persistent muscle pain for months?

Exam: Although costochrondritis (inflammation of the rib joints) can happen, asthma attack does not cause torn muscles. Suggest that you see your doctor and get examined if the pain is unbearable since it may be from something more serious or merely a transient problem which will heal in a few weeks.
