No: one can get pretty good idea sleep apnea exists from history but definitive diagnosis would be from sleep study. Deviated septum would be diagnosed from physical exam looking into nose but sometimes difficult for non specialists to tell.

Sounds: Like you need to obtain your old medical records to view your past documentation. I would be rare for a doctor to withhold revealing diagnoses to you with malicious intent. Maybe there is some conflicting testing.

Yes: Without sleep study, we cannot rule out the sleep apnea. The obstructive sleep apnea happens exclusively during the sleep, if we do not test you while sleeping, we will not rule out the sleep apnea.
