Elevated WBCs: A mildly elevated WBC can be seen in a bacterial infection. Stress can also change this count a bit. If you have other symptoms then a good medical provider can use this common blood test to keep looking for a reason for this result.

What is the count : And what is the differential count? Slightly elevated may be your normal. It would be good to talk to the doctor who ordered the test as s/he has your whole health history and lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context.
