I have vasulitis and have very painful ulcers on my legs how do i change the bandages correctly on my wounds ?

Vasculitis/ ulcers: F/U w/ rheumatologist this week.There are many drugs the anti-TNFs(remicaide, humira,Enabrel),cyclosporine,azothiprine, colchine,plaqunil, that treat vasculitis so you would not have ulcers. Review care w/ a wound care specialist and make sure you do not have bacteria, especially staph superinfection. Desitin, (zinc oxide diaper cream) silver can decrease bacteria but should not be used extensively. F/U w/ rheumatologist

Many different ways: How your wound is cared for depends on many factors: infection, amount of dead tissue etc. Generally wounds that "weep" a lot should be changed more frequently and have a "hydrophllic" or absorbent dressing to avoid a lot of fluid accumulating. Gauze ressings may stick to wounds this can be reduced by wetting the gauze and "soaking: the dressing off with sterile water.
