Anemia: Iron is critical to making hemoglobin. Iron deficiency cause anemia. If it is low, it can be due to several causes and should be investigated carefully. See your doc right away if you think you are low in iron and/or anemic.

See below: Agree with Dr. M. Iron deficiency will cause anemia, weakness, shortness of breath and if severe heart failure. If you think you iron deficient take oral iron and multivitamin supplements.
