Not grades alone: Your college grades need to be good in order to get into med school but they are definitely not the only things considered in accepting med students. The schools work hard at looking at the total person. That's the reason that an interview is part of the application process and your extra curricular are reviewed. Best wishes. Hope this helps.

Not necessarily: Sure grades are important, but they are not the only factor considered for matriculation to a medical school. You should be prepared to do well on the necessary standardized tests (MCAT) and be prepared for the interviews with medical school applicant screening panels. Your extracurricular activities and interests can have an impact - the schools are looking for well rounded applicants. Good luck.
